Warranty policy

This page explains how warranty coverage is identified, what information may be required, and how to request assistance for a SISMA Bike purchase.

Last updated September 3, 2026
01Coverage is product-specific

Use the written warranty supplied or displayed for your exact model.

02Keep your purchase details

Your order information and serial number help us review eligibility.

03Contact us before shipping

Wait for instructions before returning a bike, battery, or component.

Your model’s written warranty controls its coverage.

Warranty duration, covered components, eligibility, exclusions, and available remedies can differ by product. Review the warranty shown on the product page and any warranty document or manual supplied with the item. This general page explains SISMA’s claim process and does not expand or replace those model-specific terms.

01 / Scope

Who and what this page applies to

This policy applies to products purchased directly from SISMA Bike and supported by valid proof of purchase. If a manufacturer or another identified company is the warrantor, its written warranty determines the coverage and remedy. Products purchased from another seller must be handled through that seller or the warrantor named in the applicable documents.

We may request the purchaser’s name, order number, product model, serial number, delivery information, and evidence showing the reported issue to verify the purchase and evaluate the request.

02 / Coverage

What a product warranty may cover

When a product-specific written warranty applies, it may provide a remedy for a covered defect in materials or workmanship that appears during its stated warranty period under normal, intended use. The written warranty for the exact model identifies:

  • The company providing the warranty.
  • Whether the warranty is designated full or limited.
  • The coverage period and when that period begins.
  • The components, conditions, and purchasers that are eligible.
  • The procedure and available remedy for an approved claim.

Descriptions, estimates, and general guidance on this page do not create coverage beyond the applicable written warranty or rights provided by law.

03 / Exclusions

Conditions that may not be covered

Subject to the product-specific terms and applicable law, warranty coverage generally does not apply when the reported problem results from:

  • Normal wear, cosmetic change, routine adjustment, or ordinary maintenance.
  • Collision, impact, abuse, misuse, overloading, racing, stunt riding, or use outside the product’s intended purpose.
  • Incorrect assembly, maintenance, storage, charging, transportation, or repair.
  • Flooding, submersion, high-pressure washing, corrosion, fire, extreme heat, freezing conditions, or another external event.
  • Modification or installation of a part, accessory, firmware, or electrical component that causes or contributes to the failure.
  • Continued operation after a warning, visible defect, unusual sound, excessive heat, or other indication that use should stop.
  • A removed, altered, obscured, or unreadable serial number when that prevents verification.

Third-party service and parts

Using an independent repair provider or a third-party part does not by itself cancel legal warranty rights. However, damage caused by an incorrect part, incompatible accessory, improper installation, or deficient repair may not be covered.

04 / Battery care

Battery-specific considerations

Battery coverage and capacity requirements are defined by the written warranty for the applicable model. Battery performance naturally changes with time, use, charging patterns, temperature, and storage conditions; the product-specific terms determine whether a reported capacity change qualifies for warranty review.

Use only an approved, compatible charger and follow the manual for charging and storage. Damage related to an incompatible charger, modification, impact, water entry, extreme temperature, neglected storage, opened battery housing, or improper electrical work may be excluded when it causes or contributes to the problem.

Stop using a battery that may be unsafe. If a battery is swollen, cracked, leaking, unusually hot, producing an odor, smoking, making unusual sounds, or visibly damaged, move away from it if safe to do so and contact appropriate emergency services when necessary. Do not charge, open, ship, or attempt to repair it.

05 / Claim process

How to request warranty assistance

Stop and document

Stop using the product if continued operation could cause injury or further damage. Photograph or record the issue before changing the bike.

Gather the details

Prepare the purchaser name, order number, model, serial number, delivery date, description of the issue, and clear photos or video.

Contact SISMA

Email support@sismabike.us and explain when the issue began, the conditions in which it occurred, and any troubleshooting already completed.

Follow the provided instructions

We may request additional evidence, safe troubleshooting, inspection, or return authorization. Do not disassemble or ship a bike, battery, or component unless instructed.

06 / Review and remedy

What happens after submission

Submitting a request does not automatically establish warranty eligibility. SISMA or the identified warrantor will review the purchase information, reported condition, evidence, product history, and applicable written terms. Additional diagnostics or inspection may be required.

If the claim is approved, the remedy will follow the product-specific warranty and applicable law. Depending on those terms and the circumstances, a remedy may involve troubleshooting, repair, a replacement component, product replacement, or another stated resolution.

Labor, transportation, and shipping costs

The applicable written warranty determines which labor, removal, installation, packaging, transportation, and shipping costs are covered. Unauthorized expenses or returns sent without instructions may not be reimbursed.

07 / Legal rights

Rights that may apply to you

This policy and any product-specific written warranty are in addition to rights and remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted. Implied warranty rights and other consumer protections vary by state and jurisdiction. Nothing on this page is intended to waive a right that applicable law does not allow a seller or warrantor to waive.

Returns that are not based on an eligible warranty claim are governed by the SISMA refund policy. Delivery matters are also subject to the shipping policy, and general site and purchase conditions appear in the terms of service.
